OCCASION WEAR ALTERATIONS
Attending a wedding, the races or a special event? Outfit not quite right? I can help! I am a specialist in occasion wear alterations, working with all different styles and materials. Occasion wear outfits can include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Mother of the bride/groom.
- Wedding guests.
- Suits, blazers, trousers.
- Races, cruises, galas.
- Pageants, musicians.
THE TIMELINE
- First Fitting – Anytime before the event but no later than 2 weeks before.
- Final Fitting – Usually within 2-3 weeks of the first fitting but can be up to 4-6 weeks during busy periods.
I can sometimes accommodate last minute alterations within a week of the event but this will depend on my workload for that week. Please get in touch asap if you need emergency alterations and I will let you know if I am able to help you.
THE COST
Alterations to occasion wear can be quite varied so the cost will be highly dependent on the style of the outfit but the average cost is around £40-£150. This cost includes all fittings with me in my studio, and all outfits will be steamed. There is a minimum charge of £40 for any alterations.
